Bahram is a former civil servant in the English Education Department, and Jean a former teacher - both now retired.  They have a family of three now grown children, and so over the years additions,, equipment and facilities have been added with children in view - one of the reasons La Nique is so suitable for families with children.

 

Bahram and Jean have owned La Nique since 1974.  Since that time they have restored and improved it from the tumble-down semi ruin that it was into the wonderful house it is today.  They now spend their time equally between La Nique and their home in Oxford, England.  So La Nique is not a holiday home so much as a second home, and is equipped and has all the facilities as you would expect as such.
